We use only the best pads and covers available to prevent furniture damage.

Burrows Moving Company uses thick movers blankets or special covers on all furniture before we take each piece out to the truck. We don't unwrap things from that padding or cover until we have placed the piece in the new location (we also do additional padding on the truck to further protect pieces during transport). This procedure minimizes the chance for damages to furnishings as they are carried or transported. This is especially true when compared to other movers who have dilapidated, old greasy pads or covers (many movers don't even have covers) sometimes infested with bugs (from a prior dirty move) or who carry things in and out of the residence or transport them on the truck unpadded. Burrows Moving Company will not do moves where bugs are present so we never get them in our pads. We use the thickest, best moving pads available and as many as are needed so that our customer's furniture is completely protected. We never place pads on the ground or on the concrete, so they will not pick up grit and dirt to scratch or soil our customer's furnishings. When we pad furnishings we make sure that the clean side of the pad is the only side that touches the furniture (our pads are color-coded so that we know the clean side from the side that might be dusty) and we carefully tape the pads to the furniture piece (without the gum on the tape touching the piece) so that the pads won't shift, exposing the furnishing to potential damage as it is being carried or transported.
